Goodbye 2010, hello 2011

Time flies and it's the last day of the year. This year has been amazing or maybe I have the tendency to only remember happy memories. Afterall, if memories are what we have of our past, why not keep those that bring smiles to our face?

Honestly, there is everything to give thanks to: my love ones who love me back, my friends , my colleagues, my customers and so many others. Of course there were moments when I wish time will pass faster, tears shed and heartaches but they are just part and parcel of life I reckon.

Have I love enough this year? Have I done enough for those around me? Have I stretched my limits at work?

I know I can do more next year and I will strive to do so.

It's gonna be a great year in 2011. I'm going to love those who matter wholeheartedly (and try to be sefless..ha), I'm going stretch myself at work, I'm going to be thankful for lil' acts/thoughts/moments and appreciate all that life has to give. I'm going to be a better friend.

Goodbye 2010, it has been memorable and sweet. I look forward to 2011 with excitement and anticipation.

The road ahead is unknown, but I will tread with love,laughter,tears and create more beautiful memories.

Giving thanks

Had a fun filled Xmas with a bunch of dearest friends whom I can see myself entering different stages of life with them, growing old together with them too.

It's amazing how our respective partners get along so well with each other. Almost 7yrs of friendship and still counting.

I always love Christmas. The season of giving, a time to count my blessings,to be thankful of everything around me and to treasure what I have.

Some people feel stress buying gifts, fighting the crowds and queues. Others find it a pleasure searching for the gift that will bring a smile to the receiver. Some people stop buying gifts for each other anymore, simply because they think it's a hassle and pointless to exchange gifts and fall prey to a retailer's gimmick. I like to give, just to see the smile on the one who receives.

Some people like to receive expensive gifts, while others like handmade ones. I like gifts that are bought with thought and effort, it doesn't matter if it's 3bucks or 3000, what matters is the reason why the gift was chosen. Because you noticed what I use/wear, it shows I matter to you. Because you cracked ur brains to think of a gift for me, even if it's stressful. Because I matter, you make the effort. Woman are actually quite simple, we just wanna feel appreciated and loved. A card would do the trick.

I feel blessed to know I matter to those I love and I hope I make them feel the same.

God has given me a special gift this year, one that will probably make me realise I can love someone beyond my comprehension, love that is selfless and with no expectation of reciprocation. This gift would not be the main focus of my life but an integral part instead.

Grow well my love, grow beautifully, be healthy at every stage and be peaceful in me. I'm falling in love with u even before seeing you in person.

My favourite month of the year.  Lotsa of birthdays, weddings and Xmas is coming soon.
